What’s going on in and around Newport Beach on July 4th? Where can you get your stars and stripes on? We’ve rounded up the highlights in our latest blog, Fourth of July Events in Newport Beach!
First up there’s the huge 4th Of July Newport Beach extravaganza hosted at the gorgeous Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach. It’s easily one of the premiere 4th of July Celebrations and Fireworks displays in Orange County and loads of people show up for it. With music all afternoon as well as into the night and fireworks, this is July 4th done right!
At 10:30am you can also hit up the Mariners 43rd Annual Independence Day Parade & Celebration – starting on the corner of Commodore and Mariners Drive. The parade itself finishes in Mariners Park and then the celebrations begin (around 11am) and go through 1:30pm. Attractions are many and varied and include (deep breath): a Defender Dome, Wrecking Ball, Sorts Zone, Rock Climbing Wall, Adrenaline Maze, 28’ Slide, Bungee Run, Balloon Burst and more! Did we even mention all the games down Carnival Row? Well we did now!
July 4th events in Newport Beach don’t stop there! From 1pm-3:30pm there’s the Old Glory Boat Parade. This year the theme is “Celebrating Our Heroes” and after you’ve admired all the boats sailing through Newport Harbor, then it’s time to dock and dine – or drive right up to a restaurant! There’s so much more on hand than just a boat parade (even though that should be enough). There’s a pancake breakfast (7-11am), and a lunch buffet (Noon-5pm). There’s also rock music (1-5pm), jazz (5-9pm) and fireworks (from 9-10). Head over to their website for ticket pricings.
From 6:30pm-10pm, you can take the July 4th Fireworks Dinner Cruise. This is a three-hour yacht cruise (who wouldn’t love that?) that comes with all sorts of extras. There’s a buffet, champagne, and wine and cocktails. But that’s not all! There’s also live entertainment and dancing and some amazing views. One of those views comes later – when you can enjoy the fireworks display from the Newport Beach Dunes. Get there early to make sure you find parking.
Whatever you do this Fourth of July in Newport Beach, have a great one and stay safe!!
